We are a specialist HR consultancy focussing on assessment and development with offices in 14 countries and an established international network of licensed agency operations. We help employers tackle the constantly evolving challenges of personnel selection, development, performance management and retention. An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced professional to become a Consultant focussing on Account Management in our German team based in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Country Manager and will be responsible for managing and growing existing and new client relationships. This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual who wants to build a career in HR Consulting with an international team who are full of energy and enthusiasm.

What you'll be doing...


  • As an Account Manager you will have a number of ‘key’, ‘target’ and ‘maintenance’ level accounts in your portfolio
  • You are accountable for client retention levels, contract renewals and growing client accounts
  • You aim to build long-lasting relationships with senior stakeholders from your client base who have ultimate responsibility for the HR strategy 
  • We pride ourselves on ‘customer intimacy’. You can demonstrate that you clearly understand the client’s strategic HR objectives and can pin-point the right solution to help them overcome potential obstacles in order to achieve their goals

To be successful you will need to:

  • Develop close relationships with as senior people as possible in each of your accounts

  • Have face to face meetings with your clients on different levels in accordance with the Account Management plan

  • Analyse client information to bring new and innovative ideas to your clients

  • Deliver excellent sales presentations

  • Record all potential opportunities in the company’s CRM system so we can make data-driven decisions and measure you against your KPIs

  • Ensure your CRM records are always up-to-date and accurate

  • Execute accurate and timely forecasting for your client accounts 

  • Work closely with the business development, delivery and project management consulting teams to ensure alignment on all client projects

What you'll bring...


In addition to having a background or experience in Talent Management, you'll also need to fulfil the following criteria:

Educational background: 

  • Educated to Masters level 

Account Management: 

  • Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts ideally in the field of professional services
  • Experience in managing client accounts combining an online and offline offering 
  • Good experience in client relationship management 
  • Experience of  building new relationships with current clients at all levels and in different HR related areas for: recruitment; L&D; director, manager and executive levels

Customer Focus:

  • Understand the clients’ business objectives & the issues they face
  • Think ahead for clients and pre-empts their needs
  • Spot and maximise opportunities and gain commitment from the client
  • Agree & implement performance measures, in advance, for all work with the client


  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills in German and English
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Able to deal with ambiguity (internal & external)
  • Clear communication within the German consulting team & business as a whole

Organisation & Planning:

  • Account plans for all clients with strategies agreed and in place
  • Multi-task & hit all deadlines
  • Accurate record keeping & up-to-date CRM; reporting & feedback cycle

Teamwork and Personality:

  • Support other team members to hit their objectives
  • Interest in and understanding of psychometric concepts 
  • Ideally attuned to the latest and most relevant thinking in HR Information Systems and other relevant subject areas
  • High level of achievement, drive and motivation

Lastly, you'll need fluency in both written and spoken German and English - to business standard - and you'll also have the right to work in Germany.
