About the Team


The Dutch PSI team consist of 20 people in total. The Assessment Consultant role sits within the Consulting team. This team is responsible for solution design and implementation, project management, project support and delivery. Together with 6 other Consultants, 3 Client Experience (support) colleagues and the Consulting Director, you will ensure the assignment, management, design and delivery of impactful Talent Management solutions for our clients. It is a team of professionals with varying levels of experience, who are passionate about our business and our clients and like taking ownership for and working together on challenging projects. 

What you'll be doing...

 

Assessment Consultants in PSI play an important role in building our reputation in delivering best-in-class assessment solutions and demonstrating our expertise through linking technology and psychology globally.


Talent Management knowledge and specifically demonstrable client-facing experience in assessment is essential. In this role, you will lead and manage end-to-end assessment solutions; from client contact to project management, from design to delivery. You will get the opportunity to work with both our local and international clients.


You will be working as an assessment expert, in tandem with colleagues from the commercial and client experience teams to provide solutions to complex client challenges both for local and international clients and to meet strategic objectives. You will manage assignments and projects for our clients, while building strong client relationships and looking for opportunities to grow accounts. 

You will also be responsible for maintaining the quality of our work by continually improving and refreshing our offering. 


Core Responsibilities

 

The Assessment Consultant role is primarily responsible for:

 

  • Leading and delivering complex client projects on a national, international and cross-cultural basis.
  • Managing and delivering, live and remote, assessment centre solutions that deliver the critical insights that are needed at various stages of the talent cycle. Other projects may entail training, leadership development and coaching.
  • Scoping and designing solutions, proposals, and implementation strategies to provide critical insights needed throughout the talent cycle.
  • Playing an active role in business development, mainly by building on existing client relationships and increasing your credibility with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Providing proactive and exceptional customer service to stakeholders and being committed to high standards.
  • Within the team you will be an expert and advisor by sharing knowledge and experience with your colleagues, supporting others’ in their projects and proposal development.

What you'll bring...

 

This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about assessment solutions and the future of this field. A focused, highly proactive and self-motivated individual you will have experience in project management and are an experienced facilitator in assessment solutions.

You must be a creative thinker who thinks broadly around solutions to client talent challenges, and who can learn new skills and information quickly and apply those in a variety of situations. A strong relationship builder with business acumen, who can be a sparring partner for senior stakeholders in client organisations and who will ensure that solutions are aligned to the client’s needs and challenges. 

You will lead on and manage talent assessment solutions for our clients and guide your team with your expertise in the area. With a flexible, client focused outlook and a good level of analytical ability and critical thinking, you must be able to organise and prioritise your own work, whilst working on several projects. 

We’re also looking for someone who is commercially driven, who seeks progression and who embraces the prospect of being expected to help shape the direction of travel of assessment consultancy, where they can personally make a difference. 

 

Need to have

 

  • A Master’s in Occupational Psychology (or in a related subject at an equivalent level)
  • Significant experience in assessment centres, training and/or recruitment solutions
  • Native Dutch or Native English speaker with very good proficiency in the other language
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and apply PSI’s core solutions
  • Willingness to share knowledge, experiences and to coach and develop colleagues
  • Will receive training as required, but will take ownership of own development
  • Strong Microsoft skills; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (and comfortable with remote technology platforms)

 

Nice to have

 

  • Proven project management experience
  • A passion for working in assessment 
  • Experience of managing and developing complex client accounts and relationships
  • Experience of preparing and presenting proposals and selling consultancy projects and services
